Dr. Ken Lambrecht received his DVM from University of Missouri 1981. He has been the Medical Director and owner of an AAHA accredited practice in Madison, Wisconsin since 1995. He is currently medical director of West Towne Veterinary Center which is a Gold Level Designated Cat Friendly Practice.

He has served on the AAHA board of directors and various task forces including coauthoring the “AAHA 2012 Canine Lifestage Guidelines”

He is the current chair of the PNA Educational Tools Committee and serves on the AAFP Cat Friendly Practice Committee. His primary interests are feline medicine, dentistry and preventive nutrition, in particular obesity prevention and management holding the annual “Pets Reducing for Rescues” weight loss contest to help create awareness
within the veterinary and local Madison community.

He has 4 cats including a very special one named Bug who is his constant travel companion who has visited over 20 states in the US and 3 countries outside the US. She
has her own FB page with over 1100 likes and chronicles her many adventures and her own Bug’s Cat Gym that boards, fosters and demonstrates how to meet an indoor cats environmental needs.
